Biography

Rebecca Lynn Tutka was born on December 10, 1992 in Pottstown, PA. Little did her parents know that 15 years later, Becky would be an international elite gymnast competing against some of the top athletes in the nation! Becky began gymnastics to play with friends when she was just 2.5 years old and she quickly rose through the levels. Becky is cheered on by her number one fans; her parents Jim and Jill. Jim is a Quality Manager for the U.S. Government and Jill is a nurse. Becky also has a 21 year old brother Michael and two pugs named Pugly and Tasha. Becky lives with her family in Bucks County, PA and when she's not in the gym, she enjoys hanging with friends, going to the movies, and shopping at the mall.
Becky may only be 4 feet 10 inches tall but she has a ton of talent. She is homeschooled and trains full time at Parkettes Gymnastics in Allentown, PA. There she is coached by some of the top coaches in the nation, included Bill & Donna Strauss, Robin Netwall, and John Holman. Becky had a lot of success as a level 10 in 2006. She finished 9th at the PA State Championships, 5th at the Regional Championships, and she qualified to compete at the JO Level 10 National Championships. In July of the same year, Becky qualified to the junior international elite level at a National Elite Qualifier. At the end of 2006, Becky had surgery on both of her elbows which would have caused many gymnasts to retire but Becky didn't give up so easily. Instead, she had an amazing comeback in 2008, finishing 6th at Level 10 States and Regionals and coming in 12th all-around at J.O. Nationals. In the future, Becky hopes to earn a full college scholarship. With Becky's great attitude, dedication, and determination, that goal can be easily accomplished and much more!
